Recent advice from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) confirms they will now automatically notify applicants via email when it is time to start the second stage of the Partner visa process (e.g. 801, 100 visas).
This is a welcome change, and appears to be a response to the large volume of enquiries the Department receives on this issue. Applicants who have been successful at the first stage of their partner visa can submit information for their permanent visa two years after the original application was lodged.
At Abacus Visa, we will continue our practice of informing clients in a timely manner when and what is required throughout the application process. We understand it can be a complex and stressful process, and do everything we can to make it as easy as possible for you.
For more detailed information about the process for applying for a Partner Visa, see our relevant visa information page. You can also contact one of our helpful immigration specialists here.
