Subclass 132: Business Talent (Migrant)

Criterion Sponsored Migrant Category - Permanent Visa
Business Activity State/Territory sponsorship must be obtained to confirm interest in business proposal.
Ownership Interest Continuous ownership interest in a main business or businesses throughout the period of at least 2 yrs of the 4 fiscal yrs immediately before application is made.
Management Role Direct and continuous involvement in management of main business for 2 in 4 fiscal yrs before application.

Commitment to establish or participate in a qualifying business in Aust and maintain a substantial ownership and direct and continuous involvement in the management of that business.
Turnover Turnover of not less than A$3 million for at least 2 of the 4 fiscal yrs immediately before application.
Net Assets in Business A$400,000 in business for at least 2 of the 4 fiscal yrs prior to application.
Net Assets A$1.5 million which are lawfully acquired and available for transfer and capable of being transferred to Aust within 2 yrs after grant of visa. (business & personal assets combined of applicant and spouse)

Age Under 55 (unless exceptional circumstances)
Business Background An overall successful business career.

No record of involvement in activities not generally acceptable in Australia.
Health/Character Full Medical/Character check as required.
State/Territory government involvement Must have been sponsored by a State or Territory government.
BSC Obligations Subject to post grant Monitoring and visa cancellation for non compliance.
Declaration Must sign a declaration acknowledging your obligations as the holder of a Business Talent visa.

Post Arrival Obligations - Business Talent visa holders must provide DIMA with a contact address within 6 months of initial arrival. Their progress will be monitored after 24 months of initial arrival. If a BT visa holders have not made genuine effort to engage in business, they may be liable for visa cancellation.
