Basic requirements
The applicant must:
- be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency
- be invited to apply for the visa
- have the required funding or assets
The Subclass 132 visa has three different streams:
Significant Business History stream
For experienced business owners, to operate a new or existing business in Australia.
Permanent
Applicant must:
- have assets of AUD1.5 million (lawfully acquired) and annual business turnover of AUD3 million
- a total net assets of at least AUD400,000 as the ownership interest in one or more qualifying businesses for least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply
- be nominated by an Australian state or territory government
- be invited to apply for the visa

Venture Capital Entrepreneur stream
For people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC)
Permanent
Applicants must:
- have funding of at least AUD1 million from an Australian venture capital firm.
- be nominated by an Australian state or territory government
- be invited to apply for the visa
